FS Sim Racing 24/25 Finale

120 students from 27 universities descended on the Williams Sim Racing Experience Centre to compete, collaborate, and showcase their engineering and eSports talent - turning passion into performance and proving what it means to go from Gamer > Engineer.

After 8 hours of intense racing – including 4 rounds of qualifiers, B Finals, and a dramatic A Final – Queen Mary University of London's Queen Mary Formula Student clinched the championship - whilst University of Glasgow's UGRacing were winners of the Engineering Challenges through stellar data analysis across the series!

This was our biggest FS Sim Racing event yet – and it simply wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible dedication of our IMechE Formula Student volunteers, our generous suppliers, and especially Williams Racing/Williams Sim Racing (Steven English, Wil Green & Alice Jackson).
Thank you for welcoming our students into a world-class F1 environment - complete with cutting-edge simulators, a museum showcasing over 40 years of Williams legacy, and insights from FS alumni now thriving in motorsport careers. What an inspiration to the next generation of engineers!

Our winners will be receiving their trophies on Saturday evening as part of the main Formula Student awards ceremony.
This competition continues to prove just how powerful the connection is between engineering, gaming, and real-world innovation - hopefully JJRacing can continue to host more of these competitions with IMechE for many years to come!
